Developer: Common Ground

Located on West 43rd Street in the heart of Times Square the completely renovated 13-story hotel provides permanent housing and counseling. Residents of the 652 efficiencies include working people of limited means, elderly, victims of AIDS and abuse, formerly hospitalized and homeless. Once dubbed "Homeless Hell," the reincarnated building now provides on-site supportive services, including 43 counselors and a medical staff to assist the uninsured.

All of the units are furnished, have private baths and are handicapped accessible. Common areas set on each floor offer a library, a computer center, television, art supplies, and recreational equipment. The top floor includes a spacious dining room and the roof-top decks provide spectacular views of the Hudson River and downtown Manhattan.
